Girls dating guys the same height

According to a survey by High And Mighty, 70 percent of women say a man under six feet wouldn't stand a chance with them. For starters, society has taught us that men are "supposed" to be taller than women, but if we go by that archaic rationale, then I should be in the kitchen cooking up a pot roast for my boyfriend.

Then, of course, there's the equally antiquated idea that men who are vertically challenged are somehow less masculine.

I don't want to date someone who is a giant, but they have to be at least the same height as me, and that's non-negotiable.

Many women scoff at the idea of dating shorter men, and and a poll claims it's actually the vast majority of women.

They told me that while they never requested or expected any information about a girl’s physical appearance upfront, they felt they had to volunteer their height to be in with a chance.

‘Shorter guys I spoke to about it said they felt they were dismissed out of hand online for being under 6ft, whereas if they’d met a girl in real life they’d have had a chance to win her over.

There is also something to be said about being able to wear shoes with high heels and still being shorter.

In fact, a brand new study found that the rate of divorce among short men is significantly less than among average and tall men. In a world where short guys are often overlooked simply because of their height, they manage to make up for it in confidence.

If you're the type who can't see past height then you're likely to be missing out on something really great.

So don't be a jerk — give the shorties out there a chance.

In contrast, nearly half of the women – 48.9 per cent – wanted to date only men taller than they are. The participants answered open-ended questions in an online survey.

The second part of the study, which will be published in in an upcoming edition of the Journal of Family Issues, included 54 male (average height of 5ft 9in) and 131 female volunteers (average height of 5ft 4in) recruited from a U. The findings were similar to the first part of the study: 37 per cent of male respondents wanted to date only women shorter than they are, while 55 per cent of female respondents wanted to date only men taller than they are.‘Something just feels weird in thinking about looking "down" into my man’s eyes.
